John played two seasons of NCAA basketball at the University of Minnesota-Crookston and also Marquette University, where his knowledge of the game grew tremendously under Coach Tom Crean. After his season at Marquette John decided to walk away from playing the game and begin teaching it. He was hired as the varsity assistant at Marquette High School by David Cooks, who served as a graduate assistant at Duke University under legendary coach, Mike Krzyzewski. John graduated from Marquette University with a double Major in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He currently is the lead trainer for the Salt Lake City Division. John continues to provide invaluable leadership and guidance to Mike Lee Basketball Services. |
